Mervyn Y. Encarnacion

Mervyn Encarnacion, a partner at Grant, Genovese, and Baratta, brings a diverse range of litigation experience to the table. He has represented clients across various sectors, including employers, insurance companies, small business owners, and corporations. Known for his tenacity, motivation, and hands-on problem-solving approach, Mervyn has excelled in all aspects of mediations, binding arbitrations, non-jury, and jury trials.

Mervyn is deeply involved in every aspect of cases, from their inception to trial. His proven track record includes successfully disposing of claims through summary judgment motions and securing favorable arbitration and trial results.  Prior to joining Grant, Genovese & Baratta, he served as general counsel for a construction company, overseeing daily legal matters and handling extensive litigation involving motor vehicle accidents, employment disputes, breach of contract, and complex litigation.

A native of Southern California, Mervyn’s deep roots in the community extend both professionally and personally. Through extensive professional and personal connections, he has been able to assist numerous clients in obtaining the necessary services. Mervyn’s purpose is to serve his clients, help them set a new and positive direction, and achieve the best possible outcomes while delivering exceptional and unparalleled service. He actively participates in various community service activities and serves on and volunteers for his church and non-profit organizations that support children in underprivileged communities. Outside of the office, Mervyn enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and coaching youth sports.
