CHRISTOPHER J. PRIETO, ASSOCIATE
Christopher Prieto is an associate attorney at Grant, Genovese & Baratta, joining the firm’s insurance litigation department in 2023. Mr. Prieto supports all stages of litigation and represents clients across a range of cases including catastrophic injury, insurance coverage & bad faith, premises liability, and motor vehicle accidents. Prior to joining Grant, Genovese & Baratta, Mr. Prieto was a law clerk where he assisted with both medical malpractice and insurance coverage matters, helping to represent clients in both state and federal court.
Mr. Prieto graduated from Loyola Law School with a concentration in Civil Advocacy & Litigation. While in law school, Mr. Prieto was enrolled in Loyola Law School’s Mediation and Conciliation Clinic, where he helped to mediate matters relating to landlord-tenant disputes, family law, divorce, consumer-merchant transactions, and debtor’s rights. Mr. Prieto was also a student staff member on the Loyola International and Comparative Law Review, before becoming Chief Production Editor of the Law Review in 2022. Mr. Prieto also participated in the Inter-American Court of Human Rights Project, where he helped to translate and summarize human rights cases that were tried before the Inter-American Court, and which were later published. During Law school, Mr. Prieto gained experience in the court room helping to litigate matters as a certified law clerk for the California Department of Justice. Mr. Prieto also served as a law clerk for the Los Angeles Dependency Court, where he advocated for the unification rights of children, parents and grandparents. Mr. Prieto uses his diverse experience to passionately represent the best interests of his clients.
