The case involved an inverse condemnation claim which is a way for property owners to seek compensation when their property’s value is diminished due to government actions. The plaintiff sought to protect their right to continue collecting an income stream of royalties exceeding $100 million.
Judge Matt Byrne, Jr. ruled in favor of the plaintiff, affirming their right to maintain this substantial income stream.
