Haly Monter is an associate attorney at Grant, Genovese & Baratta, joining the insurance and injury litigation department in 2026. Haly earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from California State University, Fullerton, in 2020. She received her Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law, where she was awarded a merit scholarship. While at Willamette, Haly was actively involved in student leadership, holding positions within the Latinx Law Student Association and Multicultural Student Association. She also served as Co-Chair of the Student Bar Association’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee.
Prior to joining Grant, Genovese & Baratta, Haly gained practical legal experience through Willamette’s Immigration Clinic, where she assisted clients with asylum applications, U visa petitions, and employment authorization applications. Through her clinical work, she developed her legal research, writing, and advocacy skills while gaining meaningful experience working directly with clients.
Haly also served as a Law Clerk with Legal Aid Services of Oregon, further developing her legal research and writing skills while gaining experience in client advocacy. She later returned to Legal Aid Services of Oregon as a Law Clerk with its Taxpayer Clinic, assisting clients with federal tax matters. These experiences have shaped the client-centered perspective she brings to her practice. She takes a thoughtful and detail-oriented approach to each matter while remaining committed to providing effective representation.
