

Christopher Merhi is an associate attorney in the insurance litigation department at Grant, Genovese & Baratta. He joined the firm in December 2025 and focuses his practice on effectively representing clients in various insurance litigation matters.
Christopher earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science and his Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Arizona State University in 2022. He was recognized for his academic excellence, finishing summa cum laude and earning a place on the Dean’s List all eight semesters.
He received his Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis in 2025 and subsequently passed the July 2025 California Bar Examination.
During his legal studies at Washington University School of Law, Christopher honed his advocacy skills through participation in the Wiley Rutledge Moot Court Competition and gained practical experience in the Post-Conviction Relief Clinical Practicum.
Christopher worked with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), where he conducted research, drafted legal memoranda and briefs, and supported EEOC investigations. Christopher also gained experience at a criminal defense law firm, where he conducted legal research on criminal law, assisted in drafting motions, pleadings, and briefs, and attended court hearings, client interviews, and depositions.
