

Sarah Mousa is an associate attorney at Grant, Genovese & Baratta, joining the insurance litigation department in 2025. Sarah received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine in 2018. While there, Sarah was admitted to the Campuswide Honors Program and received a Regent’s Scholarship for her studies. Upon graduation, Sarah continued her studies at the University of California, Irvine by pursuing a Juris Doctorate. While there, Sarah focused her efforts on providing access to legal services to underserved populations through her participation in Expungement Clinics, Clean Slate Clinics, and the Orange County Public Defender’s Office as a law clerk. Sarah also participated in multiple clinics, the Criminal Justice Clinic and the Veteran’s Appellate Clinic. As a result of her high performance in the Veteran’s Appellate Clinic, she received the Dean’s Award.
Prior to joining Grant, Genovese & Baratta, Sarah served as a Deputy Public Defender with the Orange County Public Defender’s Office for three years, where she gained extensive litigation and research experience. With extensive courtroom experience in misdemeanor and felony criminal defense, Sarah has skillfully represented clients charged with criminal cases. Sarah’s experience includes arguing pre-trial motions, strategically and effectively representing clients in jury trial, as well as every stage of litigation. Now focusing on insurance defense litigation, she uses her experiences as a skilled litigator to provide zealous advocacy through all phases of litigation.
