Itzayary Aguilar is an associate attorney at Grant, Genovese, & Baratta, LLP. Ms. Aguilar joined the firm’s litigation department in 2024 as a post-bar law clerk. As an associate, Ms. Aguilar now supports all stages of litigation and represents clients across a range of cases including catastrophic injury, insurance coverage & bad faith, premises liability, and motor vehicle accidents.

Ms. Aguilar was also the inaugural co-Chief Technical Editor of the Loyola Interdisciplinary Journal of Public Interest Law (LIJPIL) from 2023-2024 before joining its Community Advisory Board upon graduating from Loyola Law School. 

During law school, Ms. Aguilar gained oral advocacy experience litigating matters as a certified law clerk for the Los Angeles County Office of the County Counsel in the juvenile dependency division. There, she advocated for the protection, stability, and reunification of children and their families. Ms. Aguilar’s diverse experience allows her to best represent her clients and their interests.

Prior to joining Grant, Genovese, & Baratta, Ms. Aguilar was a judicial extern for the Honorable Serena Murillo, assisting with preparation for both civil litigation and criminal matters. Ms. Aguilar graduated from Loyola Law School in 2024, where she participated in the Tax Appeals Assistance Program, helping resolve tax appeals before the Franchise Tax Board.
