Joseline Vargas Palacios is an associate attorney at Grant, Genovese & Baratta, joining the firm’s Business Litigation department in June 2025. Ms. Vargas Palacios received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Economics/Law and Society from the University of California, Riverside in 2020.

Ms. Vargas Palacios earned her law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she served in the Loyola Law Journal and the Children’s Legal Rights Journal. During law school, Ms. Vargas Palacios was actively involved in leadership roles within the Latinx Law Student Association and the International Law Society. Ms. Vargas Palacios also earned a Transactional Law Certificate recognizing her focus on business law.

Ms. Vargas Palacios brings a well-rounded legal background to her work, with experience in both litigation and transactional law. She has worked with law firms in California and Illinois and advised clients as a student clinician in Loyola University Chicago’s Business Law Clinic, where she counseled small businesses and nonprofit organizations on entity formation, contract drafting, and regulatory compliance. Her experience as a judicial extern in the Chancery Division of the Cook County Circuit Court gave her valuable insight into how judges assess legal arguments—an advantage she leverages to build strong, well-reasoned cases for her clients.
